Forum for Increasing Ginseng Exports to Be Held
The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) hosts the “Forum for Seeking Ways to Increase Ginseng Exports” at the Convention Hall, the 2nd floor, the International Distribution Center of Geumsan Ginseng, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do from 2:30 p.m., Oct. 19. This forum, linked with the 2017 World Ginseng Expo, Geumsan, aims to discuss problems in the ginseng export sector with recent difficulties, and prepare effective policy alternatives.
At the event’s opening ceremony, KREI President Kim Changgil will give an opening speech, and Chairperson Lee Dongpil of the World Ginseng Expo Organizing Committee and Korean Ginseng Association President Hwang Gwangbo will deliver a congratulatory address. The following presentations will follow: “Difficulties in the Ginseng Export Field and Their Solutions” by KREI research director Sung Myunghwan; “Strategy to Increase Korean Ginseng Exports Through Quality Control” by Semyung University professor Im Byeongok; “Ginseng Market Trends in Hong Kong and Case of Increasing Exports” by Korea Hanyinhong CEO Im Jaehwa; and the “Current Status of Hansamin (Red Ginseng) Exports and Their Expansion Plans” by team leader Han Hyeonju at NH Trading.
