MOU with NACF for Farmers’ Income Increase and Rural and Agricultural Development
The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Farmers’ Income Increase and Rural and Agricultural Development with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF, Chairman Kim Byeongwon) in the NACF main building, Jung-gu, Seoul, June 9. The MOU signing ceremony aims to establish an organic cooperation system for promoting the production, processing, distribution and marketing of agricultural and livestock products and increasing farm household income through a partnership between KREI and NACF.
The two institutions will take this MOU as an opportunity to carry out various collaborative projects for sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas as follows: utilization improvement of outlook information for stabilizing supply and demand of agricultural and livestock products; research collaboration for enhancing farmers’ income and developing the agricultural industry; vitalization of communication and discussions centered on field issues; information exchange for increasing synergy between research and project fields; and cooperation in public relations for forming a consensus on the value of agriculture and rural communities.
