KREI News

The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) on March 2 relocated the Agricultural Outlook Situation Room from Daejeon to Osong near the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and held its opening ceremony to promptly and smoothly carry out the agricultural outlook service.

The event was attended by approximately 50 people including KREI President Kim Changgil, MAFRA Vice Minister Lee Junwon, Director Hwang Euisik of the KREI Department of Agricultural Outlook, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, aT, the Rural Development Administration, and central advisory board members for the agricultural outlook service.

The Agricultural Outlook Situation Room regularly holds business meetings and performs joint work with MAFRA, and hosts central and regional advisory board meetings for the agricultural outlook service. Also, the Situation Room is expected to be helpful in external councils regarding agricultural and livestock products and KREI's business meetings, and especially in collecting and utilizing real-time information on crop situations in producing areas based on the video conference system and ICT.
