The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) held a ceremony marking its 38th founding anniversary, April 1, at the main conference room on March 31. The event consisted of the celebration ceremony, giving of Excellent Research Project Awards and Innovation Awards, former KREI president Kim Yeong-jin's special lecture, and commemorative photographing.
In his commemorative address, KREI President Choi Sei-kyun said to his staff, "Let's always think about the national policy research institute's social responsibility and deeply reflect on KREI's sustainable development in response to the changes in our environment." Former president Kim Yeong-jin attended the ceremony and delivered a special lecture on "How Western Agricultural Science and Technology Were Introduced to Korea in the Modernization Period." Also, Excellent Project Awards, Innovation Awards, and citations for local correspondents were given.
