KREI News

KREI hosted a general meeting of the KREI Future Agricultural Policy Forum on December 21 (Mon.) at the institute's main conference room.

The event aimed to share this year's performance and discuss the direction for next year's operation, and each department reported progress and made a presentation. In the discussion, the forum members agreed that it is necessary to actively develop the aspects in which agriculture and rural areas can contribute to our society, with awareness of the crisis in farming and rural regions.

The KREI Agricultural Policy Forum, launched in April 2014, aims at discovering research issues to smoothly conduct government projects regarding agriculture, rural communities, and agri-food and collecting related experts' various opinions. The forum, comprised of four departments (agriculture, rural areas, food and marketing, and agricultural trade), held 26 meetings this year.
