KREI News

The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) concluded an MOU with the Thünen-Institut in Germany on November 2.

KREI expects that research cooperation and information exchange with the Thünen-Institut, which was in charge of the development of agricultural programs for the unification of East and West Germany, will be very helpful in developing agricultural policy programs in preparation for the reunification of North and South Korea.

The Thünen Institute, Germany's national policy research institution, was established in 2008 after the restructuring of the German Federal Research Center for Agriculture (FAL) founded in 1948. The institute is Europe's major think tank that consists of professional institutions in the 14 fields including the agriculture and food industry, forestry, and fisheries.
