The Korea Rural Economic Institute held a talk concert on "70 Years Since Liberation: Performance and Challenges of Agriculture and Rural Communities" with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Rural Community Corporation (KRC) on the 16th in the auditorium of KRC's Human Resources Development Institute.
The first session on "70 Years Since Independence: Improvement of Agricultural Production Infrastructures and Food Self-sufficiency" consisted of presentations and relay talks. The attendees agreed that the improvement project of agricultural production infrastructures greatly contributed to Korea's food self-sufficiency. Also, they said this project should continue, linked with the regional development project, the sixth industry and so on. In the second session on "70 Years Since Liberation: Growth Outlook for the Agrifood Industry," participants agreed that agriculture is a future growth industry.
