The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Forests and Park Services (DoFPS) of Bhutan's Ministry of Agriculture and Forests on May 27 in Thimphu, Bhutan. The Bhutanese Agriculture Minister also attended the MOU signing event.
KREI President Choi Sei-kyun and Director General of DoFPS Chencho Norbu signed the agreement centered on cooperative research and human resource exchange and decided to push ahead with exchange and cooperation.
The two institutions concluded the MOU to establish partnership in forestry and natural resources research and policy development, and are also planning research collaboration and joint studies on organic farming.
