The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI, President: Choi Sei-kyun) received a Prime Minister’s Citation at the Government Complex in Seoul on Feb. 24, 2014 for contributing to Korea’s development through national policy development among research institutes that belonged to the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences in 2013. That day, Research Director Seok Hyun-deok received a Civil Merit Medal for pioneering forest policy development, evaluation, and improvement, and public opinion surveys; Senior Administrative Assistant Kim Byung-chul received a Government Policy Coordination Office Minister’s Citation for improving the management information system.
