After the 2008 financial crisis, there has been a rapid rise of grain prices in the international market. Many empirical studies have suggested that the international grain markets are strongly tied to the financial market.
This circumstance requires us to pay more attention for summarizing the relationship between food and financial markets in terms of the security in a national as well as a global senses. Food and financial securities have become not only the past and present problem but also the future global issue. In this respect, we need collaboration among the governments as well as scholars in many countries.
The main purpose of this conference is to review the current status
and future perspectives of food and financial securities. This conference has
16 papers that cover very important issues on food and financial securities.
