9th International Symposium of FANEA Opens
The 9th international symposium of the Forum for Agricultural Policy Research in Northeast Asia (FANEA) was held on July 11 in Sendai (Miyagi Prefecture), Japan, to discuss the direction for continuous rural development in Northeast Asia.
Established in 2003 by Korea Rural Economic Institute, the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Policy Research Institute of Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, the international forum has held the international symposium annually since 2003.
Meanwhile, the forum participants had the opportunity to visit a restoration site of the earthquake-hit region and tour food manufacturing facilities including a vegetable processing plant.
