Advance Research Stressed at Monthly Morning Session

The monthly morning session for all researchers and staff was held on February 7th at the Conference Hall. At the meeting, President Oh Se-Ik of Korea Rural Economic Institute stressed, “To fulfill the role of a policy research institute, we have to exert more effort to plan ahead and do research in advance."

After the meeting, Professor Kim Young-Soo of Sogang University delivered a special lecture on recent developments in North Korea and prospects of cooperation between South and North Korea. Touching on South-North cooperation projects, Kim said, "We have to figure out exactly what North Korea thinks and direct our energies on unification of people and unity of mind. At the same time, we have to carry out cooperation projects to democratize North Korea and build our internal strength too."
