7th FANEA International Symposium Held in Jeju

- China, Japan, and Korea Seek Agricultural Development through Green Growth -

The 7th FANEA International Symposium was held on June 10 at the Jeju International Convention Center on Jeju Island. The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) hosted the event jointly with the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IAED/CAAS) and Japan's Policy Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (PRIMAFF).

In this year's symposium, discussions were held in two sessions: one on the topic of supply and demand of agro-foods and its prospect, and the other on green growth in agricultural/rural sector.

FANEA was established in 2003 by the three institutes in an aim to promote exchange of information and research cooperation among the three countries in Northeast Asia. The international symposium has been held annually since then.
