The Korea Rural EconomicInstitute (KREI) on July 3 held a special lecture in KREI’s main conferenceroom by inviting Korea Forest Service (KFS) Minister Nam Sunghyun. About 100 KREIstaff members attended the lecture, whose topic was “An Era of ForestRenaissance: Benefits from Forests.” Minister Nam explained the current statusof domestic forests, the megatrend in global forests, key forestry policies forthe people, and the direction in which Korean forests should be managed.
