The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) on June 1 restructured its research organization to respond to research demand regarding agriculture, forestry, and food and related issues more systematically.
Accordingly, KREI consists of four departments (the Department of Macro Agricultural Policy Research, the Department of Agroindustry Innovation Research, the Department of Food & Agriculture Economic Research, and the Department of Rural & Environment Research), 13 research offices, five centers, and one research group.
KREI President Han Doobong said, “This reorganization is the beginning of the establishment and operation of KREI’s research system that responds more rapidly and systematically to agricultural policy issues.”
