The Korea Rural Economic Institute’s Center for International Agricultural Partnership implemented online training for 59 public officials of the Philippines, Cambodia, and Paraguay, the partner countries of the 2022/23 Korean Agricultural Policy Experiences for Food Security (KAPEX) program, for a month from February 1 to 28.
The training consisted of 16 policy lectures considering the Korean ODA model and each country’s demand; and five field lectures that accord with each country’s topic of the KAPEX program.
Particularly, through the lively lectures shot at the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, and the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services, the trainees could learn online about the roles and experiences of each institution for agricultural development, even without visiting Korea.
The trainees drew up policies and action plans for their countries’ agricultural and rural development based on what they learned from the lectures, as the results of the training.
