The Korea Rural Economic Institute held an open discussion on the topic of Regulatory Innovation in the Agri-food Sector in Iksan, North Jeolla province, on September 15. KREI prepared the session to discuss the government’s plans for regulatory reform and directions for innovation in the agri-food sector. KREI researchers and policy experts shared various ideas.  

Park Mi-sung, a KREI researcher, delivered an address titled “The Status of Foodtech and Tasks for the Food Industry.” Following her speech, Lee Hyun-soon, digital team head of state-funded food industry complex Foodpolis, spoke on “Strategies to promote the pet food industry.” Afterward, Kim Hong-sang, KREI President, moderated discussions.
