The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) held a meeting of the KREI Reporter Council in Seoul on August 26.

16 executives and regional representatives discussed plans for the second half of the year. They decided to extend the reporters’ tenure to additional two years as their activities have been limited due to the pandemic. In addition, they agreed to devise ideas to enhance reporters’ communication with the institute and the link among them.

KREI reporters were first composed in 2009 for KREI’s research activities based on feedback from the field. Currently, 200 farmers nationwide work as KREI reporters.
