KREI hosted the second event of the 2021 on-site debate in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province, on July 15, under the theme of “Ways to Improve Rural Communities’ Senior Care Services.” The participants of the debate shared various ideas to provide care services to the elderly in rural communities. Kim Nam-hoon, an associate research fellow at KREI, presented the current status of senior care in rural communities and ways to improve it. He emphasized the importance of care services headed by village communities. Following his presentation, Song Yu-jeong, the head of Human Care, addressed a sustainable care model created through villagers’ cooperation. Afterward, experts shared various opinions through the debate.
