KREI News

KREI presented online the result of the 2020 Food Consumption Behavior Survey at 2 pm, December 18 Friday, 2020. The presentation consisted of three sessions: I) Households’ food purchase and consumption behavior analysis, II) Dining-out behavior analysis, and III) Daily diet and food policy analysis.

According to the presentations in the event, Korean consumers’ food purchase online surged amid COVID-19. Researchers analyzed that staying home and having more meals at home due to the pandemic was the main reason for the rise in online food buying. While Korean consumers prioritized tastes and small packing for their virtual purchases until 2017, they have thought first of prices since 2018.
