KREI hosts the online debate on rural innovation and the future
KREI hosted the debate on rural innovation and the future for two days from September 14 to 15 to seek Korean rural communities’ direction for the future amid various social changes, including COVID-19. KREI held the meeting virtually for social distancing and broadcast live through its Youtube channel. The debate received hot attention, recording about 1,300 views in two days.
On the first day, KREI President Kim Hong-sang kicked off the meeting with a keynote speech, followed by presentations and discussions on rural revitalization, socio-economy, the green new deal, and renewable energy. On the second day, there were presentations on the digital new deal, smart farming, the online distribution of agricultural produce, and food security. Online participants shared ideas after the presentations.
