KREI celebrates the 42nd anniversary of its foundation
The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) celebrated its 42nd anniversary on April 1st. Kim Hong-Sang, KREI president, posted a congratulatory note on the internal bulletin board, saying, “KREI launched a task force to respond to COVID-19 and has contributed to examining its impacts on the agricultural sector and seeking policy measures to help farmers.” He also delivered his appreciation to KREI staff for participating in the endeavor. Through his message, he emphasized that KREI staff should work hard to mark 2020 as a year for transition in agricultural policy frameworks. He also added that KREI should play a vital role as a national research institution by coming up with specific strategies and action plans.
