Agricultural Research Advisory Group Meeting Held with Leaders of Farmer Organizations
Korea Rural Economic Institute (KERI) had an advisory group meeting on agricultural research, at Eltower on June 26, 2019, with heads of various farmer organizations who are on the forefront of the agricultural field.
KERI President Kim Changgil stressed "Our institute will continuously make efforts to conduct research to reflect the needs of the field at the right time." Director Kim Taehun of Planning and Coordination Office introduced KREI's on-going research projects and addressed how the opinions proposed at last year's meeting have been applied to the research.
In the meeting, various opinions derived from on-site experiences were presented. Specifically, they showed a special interest in subjects including rice subsidy, female farmers, human resource management with the 52-hour workweek rule, young farmers, and the Positive List System (PLS).
