KREI, KOICA Signed MOU

The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI, President Kim Changgil) concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA, President Lee Mikyung) on May 25.

Through the MOU, KREI, the center of agricultural policy and research, and KOICA in charge of Korea’s grant are planning to strengthen mutual cooperation related to policies and research on international development cooperation projects in the agriculture sector.

This MOU will lead to the following cooperation: KREI experts’ participation in planning KOICA’s agricultural and rural development projects in developing countries; the screening and evaluation of the two institutions’ agricultural and rural development projects in the countries; joint or commissioned research and joint seminars on agricultural and rural development in developing countries, and capacity building through mutual staff training based on each institution’s expertise; and the sharing of domestic and international development cooperation networks and relevant information and research materials.
