Staff Sharing Day Event Held
The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI, President Kim Changgil) had a Staff Sharing Day event in the main conference room on March 12. Before the event, several employees were awarded prizes. Research director Kim Hongsang received the Order of Civil Merit “Mongnyeon Medal” for contributing to the nation’s development by developing government policy projects. Research fellow Park Jiyun won a Citation of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for contributing to the development of the seed industry and the bioindustry. Senior specialist Seong Jinseok received a Citation of the Minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination for contributing to the nation’s development by developing government policy projects.
On Sharing Day, President Kim Changgil emphasized “followership,” and told the staff about major changes, including the four current issues of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, and KREI’s roles. His remarks were followed by CEO Yu Jihwang’s lecture on “The Young Farmers’ World Farm Tours.”
