Purpose of Research
○ This study aims to explore policy directions and tasks to enhance the sustainability of rural communities facing severe challenges from low birth rates and rapid aging. South Korea’s rural areas are aging faster than the national average, grappling with population decline and socio-economic challenges. The research investigates the impact of demographic changes on local economies and quality of life, proposing new policy directions to address these issues. The focus lies on maintaining residents' quality of life and enhancing community adaptability under conditions of low birth rates and an aging population.
