Background of Research
Korea has endeavored to create the so-called the “Korean ODA Model” and to develop textbooks which describe policy experiences of each public sector of Korea for their effective transfer to developing countries in the process of ODA programs and projects. This study is a response to this policy request by providing materials which can be possibly used as textbooks and references as well for policy makers and instructors.
Method of Research
Among twenty cooperation programs in the agricultural sector, five are selected through reviewing Country Partnership Strategies (CPS), and they are: Agricultural R&D and Extension, Integrated Rural Development, Agricultural Production Infrastructure, Food Crop Productivity, and Agricultural Product Processing.
Research Results and Implications
Each program report introduces Korean agricultural policy for each field, and then cases of international ODA projects implemented by Korea or international societies. It also includes implications for developing countries which will be useful for their consideration of application of Korean policy experiences. A synthesizing report includes background, purpose and method of this study and summaries of five program reports.
