A Study on the Data Subsystem Development for Rural Decision Support System

This study focuses on developing the data subsystem for rural decision support system. The system is identifying rural index and data base to support rural decision. we have now and we should have to collect in future, and user rural community information needs for the purposes of regional and rural research and policy analysis. From it, a set of recommendations on database requiring additional rural statistical information and index has been compiled.
While it is anticipated that the development of rural statistics to inform some rural issues will have long lead-times, the availability of small area data and information on rural Korea generally will improve considerably as a result of this database development plan. Regional impacts and outcomes cannot be understood without access to better information and empirical evidence.
We study previous researches and current regional data base, have interviews with exports and regional government officers, and survey them to collect proper statistics and index. In particular, there is a need for data to help explain and understand changes of the population, regional economy, regional finance, health and social welfare, environment, and regional development index. As a result of survey to regional government officials, the most used information are population, regional finance, pavement of a road, and farming house families. The most important index are population, regional finance, farming house families, pavement of a road, and aging population.
Therefore, the research suggests the data base that has statistics and index of population, regional economy, life, welfare, environment and regional development index for the purposes of regional decision making.
