Abstract
After China became
a member of the WTO, it is expected that China will play important role at the
DDA negotiation on agriculture. Even though China is exporting large amount of
agricultural products, it will import substantial quantities of land-intensive
agricultural products after the DDA, resulting in the decreases in farmers
income and deactivation of rural economy. Since China and Korea are under
similar situation that maintaining multifunctionality of agriculture is primal
concerns, it is suggested that two countries cooperate at the DDA to reflect the
elements of multifunctionality into the agreement on agriculture.
