KREI Signed MOU with Korea National Council on Social Welfare to Build Rural Welfare Communities  The Korea Rural Economic Institute and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare concluded a memorandum of understanding to build rural welfare communities at the Korea Social Welfare Center on Feb. 23. The MOU signing ceremony aimed to establish an organic cooperation system for building warm and vibrant rural welfare communities through research for the development of rural society and consulting for developing welfare services for rural residents by utilizing the two institutions’ human and material networks and creating synergy. With this MOU, the two institutions will conduct the following activities: research on the supply and demand of rural community welfare; consulting on projects for vitalizing rural communities; a private-public expert network for regional innovation; policy proposal and cooperation projects for the sustainable development of rural society, etc.
