Kim Young-hoon, KREI’s Global Cooperation Research Department director, became a member of the Committee for Unification Preparation launched on July 15. The 50-member committee, chaired by President Park Geun-hye, consists of 30 specialists from the private sector, two lawmakers, 11 government officials, and six heads of state-run research institutes to systematically prepare the peaceful unification of North and South. Director Kim has conducted many researches on North Korean agriculture and the two Koreas’ agricultural cooperation. He is expected to contribute to establishing agricultural policies for unification. |
