Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) will open a newly designed English website on January 4, 2011. The main features of the new English website are as follows: First, the search engine has been optimized to help easily search major contents of the KREI website on popular portal sites such as Google and Yahoo. Accordingly, if anyone searches the web with keywords related to KREI or Korean agriculture, the contents of the KREI website will appear at the top section of searched results. Second, latest information on KREI including research topics and schedules will be provided in real time through an up-to-date DB link. Third, a new link is added to the website menu to introduce KREI's external activities. The contents of the new link will cover activities related to Official Development Assistance programs and other international agricultural cooperation projects, seminars and conferences, the Forum for Agricultural Policy Research in Northeast Asia (FANEA), and foreign research institutes that have signed an agreement for research cooperation with KREI. Fourth, a new menu on Korean agriculture was added to the publications section of the website to help readers better understand Korean agriculture. The new menu will provide research data of KREI's publication "Agriculture in KOREA" from section to section.
