In an aim to actively respond to newly emerging agricultural issues and to effectively support food-related policies of the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) inaugurated Food Policy Research Center on April 15.
The research center, to be headed by KREI researcher Lee Yong-Sun, is expected to study a wide range of topics related with the food industry, agro-food marketing, food consumption, nutrition, and food safety.
