KREI hosts a seminar for success in Korean-style New Deal
KREI co-hosted a seminar with the Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute under the theme of “Directions and Tasks for the Korean New Deal” on November 25, 2020. The session aired live on KREI’s channel at Youtube to prevent coronavirus infections.
The seminar kicked off with a keynote speech by You Jong-il, the dean of KDI School of Public Policy and Management, titled “The Meaning of a Korean-style New Deal and Conditions for Its Success. In the first session under the topic of the realization of the Korean-style New Deal and the New Deal for rural communities, KREI’s representatives made presentations on the Korean-style New Deal, the New Deal for rural communities, and the Green New Deal to cope with climate change.
In the second session under the topic of the directions and tasks for the inclusive New Deal for local communities, representatives from Gwangju Metropolitan City, South Jeolla Province, and the Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute delivered addresses on local communities and the Green New Deal.
