KREI Won Best Research Institute Award for 2 Consecutive Years Each year, the NRC evaluates 26 national policy research institutions' research performance and management through 19 indicators including research reports and national policy support performance. As a result of comprehensive evaluation, KREI was selected as the best research institute both last year and this year. Particularly, the institute was designated as an outstanding case in the fields of leadership and advancement of labor-management relations. KREI gained great distinction in research performance as well as in institution assessment. Livestock Outlook Office Director Ji Inbae of the Department of Agricultural Outlook got an Excellent Research Project Award for "A Study on Structural Improvement of the Dairy Industry in Korea." Also, Kim Jeongseop, the director of the Center for Quality of Rural Life Research under the Department of Agricultural & Rural Policy Research, won an Excellent National Policy Project Award for "A Study on the Direction for Establishing a Comprehensive Plan on Returning to Farming and Rural Areas." By receiving the prizes, KREI's various research projects on agriculture and rural communities in 2016 and its contribution to national policy were recognized. In particular, KREI was selected as an outstanding research institute (the best in 2012, excellent in 2013 and 2014, and best in 2015) for 5 years in a row. |
