| Professor Nelson of Missouri University, USA, visited the KREI on February 20, 2006 and discussed with KREI President Choi Jung-sup regarding cooperation between Missouri University and the KREI in agricultural trade, rural development, and commodity research. In particular, President Choi and Prof. Nelson agreed to jointly pursue a research to develop a policy evaluation model which can measure the effect of medium-scale policy projects. Besides, it was agreed that the KREI is going to develop an econometric model for analyzing changes in demand and supply of agricultural products by season through cooperation with FAPRI of Missouri University. This is expected to contribute to commodity researches including agricultural observation projects. | |
