KREI Invites Prof. Fulcher for Seminar

The KREI held a seminar on January 13, 2006 for which professor Christpher Fulcher of Columbia University, Missouri was invited. In the seminar, Dr. Fulcher made a presentation entitled 「IT Utilization for Agricultural Policy Implementation」introducing Community Information Resource Center under Rural Policy Research Institute of Missouri University. He also explained the importance of integrated management of data scattered around the federal and local governments. Rural Policy Research Institute focuses on integrating existing statistical data and geographical information system (GIS) to offer necessary information for making policy decisions at the national and regional levels. The integration of statistical information and GIS will enable the region-specific policy development. |
