On May 7th, the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI), led by President Han Doo Bong, held a monthly staff meeting in the conference room. The agenda included employee recognition for the month, President Han Doo Bong's address, a presentation on KREI's spatial improvement initiatives, and the declaration of ESG management.

President Han, during his address, highlighted various efforts made by KREI staff over the past year since his inauguration. He emphasized the commitment to enhance KREI's value both domestically and internationally this year. President Han pledged to establish fair rules for acknowledging and rewarding staff who excel in writing outstanding research reports, contributing to administrative and welfare improvements, utilizing AI and digital information for research and administrative system enhancement, providing diverse opportunities for staff growth, fostering active teamwork through mutual cooperation, and creating an environment where staff can take pride in working for a national research institution.

Following this, there was a presentation on the progress of KREI's spatial improvement initiatives by Kwon In Hye, Vice Chairman of the Space Innovation Committee, titled "KREI Spatial Improvement Progress for Work, Life, and Relaxation," which included updates on the installation of solar power and rain cover facilities.

Subsequently, the KREI ESG management declaration was made, sharing the ESG management strategy and implementation plan, and proclaiming the ESG management vision. Kim Hong Won, Director of General administration office, delivered a presentation titled "Trends in ESG Management and KREI's ESG Management." Two employee representatives then recited the ESG management practice statement, declaring active commitment to ESG management as a core value, aiming to create sustainable future values in collaboration with the nation and the world. The ESG management statement was then handed over to President Han Doo Bong, followed by a group photo of all staff.

Lastly, the Employee of the Month awards for May were presented, honoring Lee Yong-geon, Deputy Research Fellow, and Choi Byung-yong, Senior Specialist, for their dedicated and proactive performance of their duties.
