Purpose of Research
○With the aging population and westernization of lifestyles, the prevalence of chronic diseases is increasing. It is predicted that the proportion of the population over 65 will increase, leading to a rise in chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.

○The causes of chronic diseases are not only genetic and environmental factors but also unhealthy behaviors such as smoking, drinking, and lack of exercise. Therefore, the importance of preventive healthcare, including lifestyle changes, is becoming more highlighted. Health and medical policies are shifting from focusing on disease detection and post-treatment to supporting preventive healthcare. However, in rural areas, despite the higher prevalence of chronic diseases compared to urban areas, the practice of preventive healthcare is insufficient. Additionally, accessibility to healthcare services in rural areas is poor, and the quality and quantity of medical services are inferior compared to urban areas. There is a need to strengthen policies related to preventive healthcare for rural residents.
