The details are as follows.

Program Details

Joint Research on Development Potential

Korea and its partner country investigate and research issues in the field for food security and development potential based on the agreed sectors and topics through policy discussion. The partner nation’s research group leads the joint study, and Korean experts also participate as consultants. The materials and data collected through joint research will be used as basic data for setting up policies in the partner country’s related fields and planning international partnership projects in the future.

Training Programs for Sharing Agricultural Policy Performance

Training programs are conducted in Korea and its partner country to share Korean agricultural policy experiences on the agreed topics and to enhance the ability of public officials and interested persons in the partner nation. Training programs in Korea are centered on field trips and discussion for officials in middle management or higher level and related people who establish policies. Training programs in the partner country consist of lectures, debate, and working out of action plans for working-level officials who implement policies.

Workshops for Sharing and Diffusing Project Outcomes

Policy workshops in partner countries aim to share and evaluate the results of joint research and training programs. Also, the workshops can be an opportunity to seek for plans to improve project effectiveness by sharing cases of international cooperation projects in developing nations with domestic and foreign aid agencies and private organizations. On the other hand, partner countries of the year and the previous year and future partners all attend policy workshops in Korea to share KAPEX program outcomes in their nations and to find measures to expand them.

KAPEX Academy

The KAPEX Academy is a 6-month training program for about 10 agricultural and forestry officials in partner countries for increasing their capability to develop policies by sharing Korean agricultural development experiences. This program provides participants with the following customized training so that training and research results can be utilized at the working level in the related fields.
