2018 Kick-off Meeting: “Let’s Make New Leap Forward Getting Back to Basics in KREI’s 40th Anniversary Year” The Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) held a kick-off meeting for 2018 in the main conference room on Jan. 2. KREI President Kim Changgil, in his New Year’s address, evaluated, “KREI promptly responded to agricultural policy tasks of the new administration launched last year, and achieved outcomes by running task forces on various agricultural and rural issues and publishing issue papers.” Also, he expected that this year would be a time of development beyond a time of change, and emphasized the importance of KREI’s playing its role faithfully and focusing capacities on research. President Kim urged the staff to be faithful to their duties, communicate actively, and complement one another. He also said, “Let’s do our best with tension for the sustainable development of Korean agriculture and rural communities, as this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Institute.” |
